Looking forward to this! I like the color scheme/texture of this.

Rocktopus64 responds:

Thanks! I'm going to do a completely different art style for every chapter cover. This chapter theme was the Arts and Crafts movement of the 20th century.

Lookin' forward to it!

Rocktopus64 responds:

Thanks! It was actually Monster Lands that inspired me a lot to make my own fantasy comic.

I really like the armor on him.

Rocktopus64 responds:

Thanks for saying so!

Spines don't bend like that!

On the plus side, the bike looks good.

lockebelmont responds:

For sure. I agree after looking at it. Live and learn. :)

The pose is rather static and she seems expressionless. Try to make her more lively.

JTmovie responds:

True. Thanks for the tips

You should make different base greys for each thing to add further contrast in terms of the materials that make them up. For example, the tree bark should be much darker, the grass and leaves should be lighter, and the clothes can be various shades of grey. This will make everything stand out more, so that there is more than just your line art differentiating each part from the other.

Impkid responds:

That is a good critique, however my grayscale colouring style is based in the light, not in the colour of the elements. However, I will keep your advice in mind for future references, because it would be useful to separate and individualize each character and the background.

The feet are not level to the ground, it makes her loor like she's doing some kind of impossible tip-toe position. You need to define the hands more, her fingers look like noodles, so remember to give them joints. Try a different style of shading as well, the one you use in this picture doesn't go well with cartoony things.

bocodamondo responds:

i suppose you right. il keep it mind next time
exept shading. i love my style i wont change it, at least not soon

Amazing!

Everything comes together very nicely in this picture.

toshema responds:

Thank you ^_^ !!!

Amazing

Now, I don't know if the quadropus is supposed to be slimy, but if it is you could add some highlights to imply it is. Of course, if it isn't supposed to be, then disregard my comment.

jouste responds:

ooh i suppose a quadropus could be slimy! that would help him in combat for sure!

*highfives*

advice...

Lay off the large amounts of highlights and don't use the burn tool, it's messy. Try to make the light source more obvious.

JokerKitty responds:

I actually really liked how this one turned out....I wanted her to be very shiny, her outfit is supposed to be some glittery latex.....and i don't use the burn tool.

Dodge, yes, burn, no.
